That sucked

My sister and i are members of the NPGMC and we both bought 2 tickets each for the Oakland show the other day. We went to the will call to pick up our tickets. My tickets were there but hers werent.
They could not find her tickets and here name wasnt even on the list. It took us about an hour asking for help from the employees one of them was very rude and just informed us that she has no tickets and that was that.
She ended up having to buy another pair. The show was great and she even got picked to dance on stage with Morris Day and the Time but she had to pay over 3 hundred dollars for it.
Peace and Love!

WOW that does suck... so i guess the whole club sucks because of a MISTAKE...

hey, why don't you simply go to the NPGMC and show proof that tix had been purchased. if you want to bad enough, the money CAN be retieved. i KNOW mine would...

they had to be purchased with a credit card. simply get a statement and show them their error. they would have no choice but to make good on it....

i know it's a hassle, but shit happens. the clubs method is still the BEST around. no offense to you or anyone else, but i'd MUCH rather see a few mistakes than have scalpers and ticket massa get thier hands on the good seats. the seats that the fans deserve...

one final note... at least your sister had a great time at the show. it coulda been worse. the show coulda been sold out, or there may not have been floor access available. everything happened the way it should (and then some)... of course except for the extra $$$$'s. just tell 'em what happened and get the other tix $ back...

good luck and let us know what happens...

Oooo, I would have been pissed! I would have felt sick to the stomach. At least you had money to buy more tickets. I wouldn't have had any!!

Well I am a member of NPGMC, too, and I got my tickets through the club and I had good seats both times! I thought I was going to have trouble with it and I was scared because I ordered my tickets in March for concerts in July. Boy, was I nervous. But everything went well.

Yes, I was nervous until I was actually seated in my seat at the arena. I thought for sure something would go wrong at that first NYC concert. Oh, how it rained!

And then I thought for sure he'd cancel in Hartford...

Im always nervous until im sitting in my seat. I never had a problem with my tickets but im always concerned that something might go wrong. My sister was in line before me and i stood with her. When the lady was looking for her name i saw my envelope with my name on it but nothing for my sister. I felt really bad for her. She used her visa card for the new tickets.

She sent an email to customer service with the proof she bought the tickets. She may have to bite the bullet on this one.

I just got word that NPGMC refunded the money for my sister and credited her card. Thank God that the show wasnt sold out when she had to get new tickets.

I went to four shows this tour and had no problems whatsoever...

I feel bad for you, that is a real agonizing thing to go through.

But the follow-up post about "typical NPGMC" is inaccurate. From what 've seen on this board, the club did a very good job for the entire, in demand, high-profile tour...

woot! I'm glad your sister is getting her money back. She had proof on her credit card that she did buy the tickets, so the club had no other choice but to refund her money, especially since she had to pay extra money to buy other tickets, due to someone's error.

I'm glad your story had a happy ending. woot!
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This has happened before. Glad it all sort of worked out.

2 things though about that night...FLOOR tix could still be bought at the ticket counter...why did we have lower level? and ALLLLL of the people working at the Arena...Janky! Could not even get a backpack in and I came on Public transport. Wouldn't even talk to me about it. I had to stash it ghetto style in the bushes.

That is why they suggest that you print out and TAKE your receipt with you to the venue. It's always better to have PROOF! eek(
