It's Gay Pride Week here in Toronto, and living right next to the heart of the festivities, it's hard not to get into the spirit. With that in mind, I've just realized the Org has never had a gay pride march of any kind even though there are so many gay, lesbian, bixsexual, hermaphrodites and drag artists in our ranks.

Today we march!

Post a picture of a float or street scene at any gay pride event in the world. Or say something witty or scandalous.

Although we prefer our surroundings to be packed with hot muscular gay men, straight people may show their support for the gay community and that unmarried uncle on your mother's side.

Goodness, I must stop to tell you the pride festivites were getting out of hand in mpls tonight.

I always think ---- pride parades of any sort are a little sad in that they obviously are a response to oppression. People who are free and not marginalized would have no need for such events. I hope one day they'll be a thing of the past and we'll just get on with living.

Well, it's not Pride here yet, but I did happen to happen upon BBC last night, just as they were showing the Gay Special of Absolutely Fabulous in which Patsy & Edwina got married by Whoopi Goldberg:



I'd never seen the episode before and was thoroughly amused, especially when they went clubbing at the gay bars with Edwina's gay son, Serge (who was kinda cute ) - poor Patsy caught fire and Edwina threw alcohol on her to quelch it.

ooh--good thing you started this thread, aero! the pride parade here in mpls is goin on right now but it's raining a bit outside so i don't wanna stand outside for hours and end up with a nasty cold. it's fucked up: i hoped for cooler weather for this year's parade but i didn't want rain!

runs out towards the floats passin by...somebody let me on, i wanna help out with throwin out beads n'shit!

tosses some money on the flag....hehehe, i remember last year at the parade here in mpls it was kinda windy, and one of the flags flew over and change n'money just spilled everywhere! folks were runnin in the street, helpin to put the money back on the flag after everything got re-situated.
