Please, please help me!

Please, computer nerds or reasonably well-versed laymen and laywomen, my computer is fuckerooood! sad

For some reason I can connect to the internet but can only access Ebay and prince.org. Hotmail and msn messenger ain't working, nor is my bank, pretty much any site u care to name, and most devastatingly Windows Update.

I have checked for viruses using AVG and Stinger, have got Ad-aware, but still I have this problem.

Everytime I try to shut down my computer it says that LFDOKF.EXE is still running. What is this?

When I scroll down on the net the screen wobbles down in jolty waves.

I am at my wits end. Any help will save me from almost certain suicide this very night.

My computer is sluggish and I hate it. I have a balcony and I'm a little scared of what I might do. Please, please help. pray

I'm screwed. My business depends on my computer. I'll have to go to an internet cafe tomorrow morning.

I'll end up trying to burn all my prince stuff to disc in one long night. I was getting it all together but I'm not ready to burn it yet. After that I'll have to do full system restore I imagine.

recently installed software ? Try uninstalling that. Sounds like you puter is helluva busy doing something (hence the sluggish refresh and the not shutting down).

If your PC is that important, you should use soft- and harware solutions to revert to an earlier (working) operating system + data.

Good luck mate !

I just don't get it gooey. I can use prince.org no problems. Ebay is fine, and a few other sites (uk.yahoo.com, excite) but not much else. It must be an internet problem but what the hell would do this?

What was your remark going to be? I can possibly imagine how u could make anything out of that. lol

I would have congratulated you on finally seen the light or sumthing.

And then give you my address.

Ayedunno. It was all in the moment. Then it passed. And listen to Alf.
He is from Melmak and that is around the corner from where I am. Cool place; smart furry animals. Mind your cats though.

Although you probably eat cat and dog every day; you are in Bangkok.

If you have more than one anti virus running that can also fuck things up fine style

Well, the only antivirus I use is AVG, but I do have this ad-aware thing I just installed to get rid of spyware. I thought that might be the problem (spyware) but obviously it's not.

Not spyware.

Not viruses.

Do u think it could be shareaza? I haven't run it in 4 or 5 days though.

It's weird that prince.org and ebay are fine but hardly anywhere else is. confuse

Can anyone think of anything else it might be?

I think I'm going to uninstall Shareaza and see if that helps. Can't imagine it's just that though.

If you're on win2k or XP you can check with ctrl-alt-del which processes are currently using your CPU. Check this if you puter is sluggish or slow refreshing you monitor. Cpu's then busy 99% on something. Google that process if it's unfamiliar..
