BEER drinkers, gather here awhile

I'm living in Bangkok and have in the past drank Thai beer. These do terrible things to your stomach and brain so of late (the last few months) I've taken to drinking a Japanese beer called...

ASAHI

Anyone else like this beer? It tastes bloody great and never leaves me feeling bad in the morning. I've never seen it back in the UK, do they have it in OZ, USA, and those other big obnoxious countries?

I've never tried Asahi. Although I do like Asian beers-Tiger and Cobra beers are very nice and crisp.

Yep, both not bad at all. Asahi is very, very good. U should make a point of trying it.

Cool! I'm coming back in July so I can continue my excess uninterrupted.

Yes, I love Asahi. I don't know about all those big obnoxious countries, but it's been available here in dainty little Ireland for quite a few years (easier to find find in restaurants than in off-licences though).

I also like Kirin and Sapporo but you only ever seem to find them in Japanese restaurants hmmm

Yeah, I love Asahi, but in August it'll be Guinness exclusively for me. It's all I ever used to drink in pubs in the UK but here it's around 5 pounds a pint. I can't wait!!! Staying in Dublin with an Aunt and then off to Sligo for a few days.

I don't find the Thai beers too bad, except they have that extra percent which can cause problems. The beer that treats me best the next morning is Carlsberg, but that seems to be getting withdrawn from Thailand.

As for Tiger, it's nice on draught but the bottled stuff gives me a hangover before the end of the bottle!

I'll have to give Asahi a try, thanks for the tip smile
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

wave hi, how are ya?

I had a couple of Singhas last night at a little restaurant near us and felt bad this morning. Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to drink Chang or Singha anymore.

One thing I have noticed is that after drinking Asahi a lot lately I can't stand the sweetness of Heineken.
