do you blame her or your partner?

I blame her for being obsessed with her ex of 5 years... she was 60 years old.

And I blame him for not telling me of her obsession.

hence the levels of crazy.

i have a friend who perfected the 'drive-by'. she had the routine all planned, many a night i rode with her.

enter development, lights off. ride around the back of the house where she could see inside, ride around the front of the house to check out the car situation.

see that seems hardcore to me.

serious trust issues there.

though quite exciting and Columbo-esque all the same.

yeah, it was a weird situation. they weren't exclusive, she knew he was seeing other people. yet she still wanted to see.

(i'm not talking voyeur here. that's another story.)

Yep my family had to deal with one too. Only my father ended up marrying her neutral

It was so bad...she even called my brother when he was 10 to tell him she's pregnant and that she needs to have an abortion. Not to mention the sympathy card she sent to my mother saying "So sorry your marriage isn't working out well". I hate her.

oh jesus christ, i hate her too.

never involve the kids.

my point is that we've all felt that way at one time or another. generally we don't act on it, but we can relate.

yeah, she was nuts. obviously that was the point, or there would be no movie. (CUT TO: alex sitting in a chair, flicking the light on and off)

Actually I've never been involved with anyone who was married or in a relationship with someone else.

I have felt that way and had someone act kinda like that to me but on a smaller scale.

Like leave notes on your car while you are at the grocery store that say 'Im looking for you' or when I finally decide its safe for me to date someone new he starts showing up where we are and trying to pick a fight with my new man. Ya its crazy, but he was the one that cheated on me.

oy, let me break it down further.

the person doesn't have to be involved with someone else. just sometimes in a relationship, whatever the terms of the relationship are but you are still uncertain, you can feel crazy. you can wonder if it's you, if it's all in your head, does this person even really like you, are they playing you, etc.

if this is foreign to you, then bravo. you are supremely confident.

yes, i have dealt with some insane men. at least one (right after i broke up with him).

the weekend after we broke up, i went to a club in a nearby state that was broadcasting on the radio. so i had kinda made friends with the DJ, and he says (on the air) "this next song goes out to Jenn", naturally it was a prince song, maybe adore.

so.

my newly ex hears this, drives to the club and waits hours, sitting there stewing, for me (he assumes) to walk outside. as i'm walking to my car he comes out of nowhere and starts following me, calling me all kinds of names, belittling me on the street. i don't remember exactly what happened, but i remember thinking if i let him in my car he was going to try to kill me.
