The other day, I ran into the guy who crushed my heart back in '99. I've run into him occassionally since then, and as I recovered from the hurt, it got easier every time. But somehow this recent run-in left me reeling. I guess I feel attracted to him again. Must be some masochistic impulse or something. Anyway, I don't perceive any kind of interest from him at all, so it's not like I'm getting my hopes up for the two of us getting together again or anything. I've just felt quite melancholic, thinking about him and how it could have been and how it has been. I'm sure the feeling will pass.
