Unfortunately yes sad , and almost got into two accidents over it. It had nothing to do with not getting enough sleep. It was a combo of things ( work, hot day, long commute, in a drone zone ), and I hope it never will happen again.

I have driven with one eye open because I was so tired, felt like I was in a delerious sort of state lol

It's scary, all of a sudden it's noon, you're at work, and you have no idea how you got there or what you've been doing for the last 4 hours eek
...:...Must I become naked?
No image at all?
Shall I remain upright?

I used to fall asleep doing just about everything. This peaked when I fell asleep and plowed through 3 parked cars. Thank good there was no one in them! Shortly after that I was diagnosed narcoleptic. Wheeee!

these are one of the leading causes of accidents.

driver fatigue...."micro-sleeps"....very bad news.

Yeah...about 3am, returning from the darkroom at CalArts back when I was still taking design classes. I ran off the road, and hard...immediately woke up finding myself driving thru grass and rocks, swerved myself back onto the highway. Didn't sleep for days after that... eek

I have almost. I tend to make a pit stop and rest before proceeding to drive any further. Safer that way.

no, but ive had to stop and sleep at a rest stop several times. I cant risk silly things like "falling asleep while driving". I have my two kids and the dog in the car with me 90% of the time.

Yes. I had a boring one-hour commute to/from work about three years back, and I also didn't know that a medication I was taking at the time would completely knock me out.

I rear-ended a woman. Totalled my car; did moderate damage to her and her car. I was fine. sad

Not good.

You're narcoleptic! That is so fascinating.

I know a narcoleptic guy, and I just CANNOT believe the kind of situations he falls asleep on -- driving, a high-action movie, in the middle of a sentence. lol Thankfully, he's on meds now.

Do the meds work for him? I've fallen aslepp once during a dinner date and many times at the movies but I blame the weed for that.
