I was at the Mall in Detroit (Northland Mall) shopping for something to wear to the Prince concert in a couple weeks. I ran across someone who was also a Prince fan, shopping for the same thing. To me, I don't meet many Prince fans, so I'm usually the lone ranger. So when I meet other Prince fans, I'm like a chatterbox. It was cool, she was chatting back and what not, we were talking about the concert, and his recent success, and how all of our friends suddenly inquire about Prince now, where as they dissed us before.

I asked her if she was a member of Prince.org and if she visits frequently? She said yes! I've never met another orger, so the first thing I asked was what her screenname was. I said "I'm Blue, Blue Prince" She said,' I'm not comfortable telling people what my org name is.' I asked if she had a bad experience with meeting someone she had contact with online? She said no, and that she would feel uncomfortable telling me her screen name.

At first I thought maybe it's me, she doesn't know me, trust me, I could be a stalker or a thief(though if you met me you wouldn't think so). I concluded that it couldn't be the case, by this time she gave me her phone number, and I knew where she stayed...but I couldn't know her Org name??

I guess I understand (confidentiality and all), but being the amatuer psychiatrist that I am, I couldn't help but wonder why?
