But whats the dude on the soap opera that just recently cut his locs. He had some interesting comments about how the "industry" views black men with locs. He said when his locs were short, he was told he looked like a thug, too "angry" but when they passed his shoulders, he was told he had an "exotic look"....WTF.....

Did anybody, by the way, see one of his straight-to-video flicks called "TROIS"? It's from a company called Rainforest Films that does these very Black-American soap-opera type movies, and I was wondering if I should get it: so far I've seen Rainforest's "Motives" w/Vivica Fox & Shemar Moore, and "Trois 2" with Monica Calhoun ("Mia" from "The Best Man"), and they basically reminded me of some fluffy soap opera entertainment with a few "grown-up" scenes. However, TROIS sounded a bit on the SUPER racy side and I don't want to invite any of my church-going needlepoint sista-friends to see this and have them fall out of their seats from shock (TROIS 2, though racy in parts, had no actual menage-a-trois, it was only a metaphorical thing and the first one is supposed to be told from a man's perspective ).

Oddly enough, homeboy has said in interviews that he hates the fact that the movie TROIS is on his resume, so maybe I'll pass after all if even HE think it sucks...
