hi, dahlings!

ya'll are probably wonderin where the hell i've been for the past few days--my internet got shut off cuz i was late payin the bill. i got the chit turned back on today, so i'm fine now. anyway, while i was without any 'net i spent much of my time at home watchin dvds, sleepin and thinkin about a lotta things. one of the things that crossed my mind is that i've been a member of the org for 5 years now.

5 friggin years, yo. that's a helluva long time.

and i've been thinkin about...retiring from the org. yes, that's right--hangin up my badge, my pix, all my sexxy org banners n'all that. i don't spend as much time here as i used to--i'm usually busy workin on graphics for my livejournal stuff, doodling, hoppin on the bus to go somewhere or watchin some of my dvds.


and no, i ain't leaving yet...i still gotta go and think if i should go and truly retire from this place. if i did, i'd seriously miss you guys (yeah chico, even you ). if i do wind up retiring from org-dom i'd leave my account up (don't want no stankin newbies to steal my name n'shit ) and i'd pop up on occasion to check the news n'stuff...but bein here almost everyday has worn this Dansa out.

....sooooo, whatcha think? should i retire? and if i do, will you visit me in the orgers' retirement home? you'll know where i am, i'll be in the room with the stereo on..."head" will be on full-blast, of course.

You should not go. You are one of the bright spots on here. In an era of mods havin serious issues as to how they moderate. It was nice to see you stay level headed after all the shit you have been put through. People tend to forget how you were talked about on quaidbowl and how you never carried a grudge. If it were me i would have bombed on em. Anyways if you do leave take care. The wizard always got a li'l magic for ya.

Maybe just use the Org in moderation instead of an all-out retirement?

Dansa...for some strange reason, I completely understand. I KNOW that everyone here would miss you terribly if you were to leave...but I do think that everyone needs to step back for a little while, and get their shit in order. (and that entails whatever your life may hold) A better choice phrase would be..."do some inventory". We all have to do that...at one time or another, for whatever reason.

I think it's kinda cool when you don't go on the computer for a day or so...and get "back" to normal life, so to speak. You find out some weird shit about yourself. (alot of ppl spend way too much time online nowadays to take a good look around them)...ya know?

You need to do what's best for you..and if this is whatcha want...then I say...go 'head.


Just know that when this event happens...ALOT of unhappy muthafuckas will be sheddin some tears for you!!! me included!!!

Oh Deja. I don't like the idea of retirement, but it sounds like you could use a good long vacation. Take some time out this summer and head to the Bahamas, or Hawaii, or Lake Calhoun or sumthin. (Of Course, I'm kinda lucky in that I can meander down the lane and knock on your door if I miss ya too much. ) You do a fantastic job here, just need a break, that's all.
