Besides trying to keep up on what Prince is doing, I tend to come to the org as an escape from life.

I've made a few friends on here through the years, some that I contact outside of the internet, usually by phone or sending letters, and some that I joke around with strictly on-line.

But, for the most part, I use the org to escape from my life. When I'm in a depression I don't feel like talking on the phone, answering questions as to why I sound the way I do, am I okay, what will help me feel better, etc... it's tiring when I get into one of my down-times and I don't feel like talking and explaining or reassuring those around me, hell, I don't even feel like getting out of bed or showering, but I have little ones to care for and I can't lie around all day... so, it is easier for me to log onto the org and read comments, respond to posts, laugh, joke, etc... because I can log off at any given moment and no one can hear anything in my voice, so there are no questions to answer and I don't have to reassure anyone that things will be okay.

I've also used the org as an escape from the relationships that I've been in... keep myself occupied on here so that I don't have to deal with what's going on at home. Probably not the way to go about it, but I do use this place when I am unhappy at home, instead of spending the time with the one I am with.

Truthfully it's just something I do. It's no different for me then reading the paper each morning which I also do.

- obsession with music of which Prince sits high on the list

- The kickass and amazing people from all over the world I've met here (most in artist community)

- love the interesting mindless bullshit that people come up with to talk about (myself included)

- the knowledge of music that people share here has turned me on to stuff I wouldn't have bought on my own

- entertainment death news (if someone dies there's always someone to post about here, sometimes even before yahoo news)
