You can make your own frappucino.

First, as with most parties, this one starts with a blender.

1 cup strong coffee (if you're lazy like me and your coffeepot is broken, take 1/3 c. coffee & 1 c. water and just boil the two in a saucepan, then filter into your blender)

1 cup milk

1 cup ice

1/4 c. sugar or 5 packets equal or just play around with your sweetener

Blend until slushy! It's great. If I don't have one now, I get a headache.

i stopped going to Starbucks. i supported the little cafes and mom and pops coffee shops in London. good thing there isn't any of that in Bermuda.

It does. I use 4 packets of equal and maybe a teaspoon of sugar (even I don't know why). But it works, and much more low carb than say a caramel or java chip frap.

well no...i do still have coffee. i just am a discriminating coffee buyer. altho i admnit that when Julie came to visit in March we did stop into Starbucks. i suppose when i come to visit next week i might be popping into one since i won't know of any independent coffee houses in Phoenix or Las Vegas.

It's a boring story involving the yahoo search engine (I was looking for nutritional info) and all these copycat recipes came up. My measurements are not the same but I don't do exact measures - give a little, take a little. I keep it simple.

I don't go to Starbucks because they charge for Wi-Fi, whereas two independent cafes within walking distance of my apartment offer it for free.
