So what's all the fuss about then? lol Nobody's offended, nobody's worried. No big deal. No deal at all, in fact. lol

And no need for your lengthy explanation either, Carrie. wink

The "fuss" is that I can't start a thread like this without suspicion that I am secretly out to "get" someone. Although I tend to be quite direct when that is my motive.

My lengthy explanation is indeed necessary.
confused

Ugly this has become, indeed.

Girl, some people just long to jump at people's throats for stuff they make up in their sick minds. I for one know you'd say something to somebody if you wanted to, whether it's good or bad. Keep doing what you do hug highfive

As for Azure, you posted on this thread telling ALT she'd messed up. Who are you to decide what she thinks is beautiful? Can it. disbelief

Personally, I find people who alter their already fine appearance with plastic surgery ugly, like that actress.... Liisa Rinna I think her name is, who was in Melrose Place? Her lips make me wanna throw up ill

Just my 2 cents here...

It seems like some people take things way too personally. Of course I have the luxury of 'outsider' status, but honestly this all seems like a really small thing. Apparently ALT has left the org for good because she felt like she had to keep explaining and validating herself, when in fact these are obligations she's placed on herself. If that feels like too much of a burden then rightly so, she should probably take a break and re-evaluate some things.

If there are some serious ties between the parties who had the disagreements then I understand. It stings to fight in public.

But really. No one should have to explain themselves in depth... on a messageboard. I didn't particularly come here to make friends (although I have, at least one anyway), I came to converse.

But to each her own. I hope y'all work it out.

No, it's honesty. Actually it might be bad form as well as honest, but I don't give a crap about good form. I am ALWAYS honest in these things whether or not it sits well with some people. twocents

She didn't place it on herself. This goes way back, apparently, to times when she's been attacked for almost no reason by the same people over and over again. That's why she got overly defensive and created confusion in doing so.

It seemed earlier in the thread that the two had noted each other and discussed it and cleared the air. You're throwing gasoline on burning embers.

Fine, but why the need to defend against such attacks? A good 'fuck you' would do the job if need be.

Also, you are answering rather definitively for someone who wasn't really sure what was going on.

I wasn't sure then, but I am now. And to defend yourself against attacks is pretty natural. Especially if your vocabulary extends beyond saying "fuck you". rolleyes

Beyond emoticons, even. Sometimes succinct is best and drives the point home.

I'm not a big fan of defending one's self, especially if one has the confidence of one's convictions.

And whether you meant it or not, your questions add to the tone of frustration that is palpable in the above dialogue.

Let me amend that -

sometimes defending is fine. I think it's the explaining that I take issue with.

You're too funny! Pulling out "succinct" and "palpable" while at the same time saying that you're not a big fan of defending yourself. lol

My apologies, I saw this as a debate of sorts and not a personal attack. Were it an attack, I would have told you to go fuck yourself.

AzureStarr

AnotherLover and I had a misunderstanding of sorts, in private, prior to this thread being posted. As I had posted earlier on this thread, I was sorry for my interpretation of her comment and all was cool.

It's as simple as this with me... this thread seemed to be somewhat of a reaction to what was discussed in private between AnotherLover and myself and I was pissed thinking that comment was directed towards me and I flew off the handle. Unfortunately, I did so in the forums and not in a note.

Carrie is a wonderful person and I am sad that this all happened... I hope she returns soon.
