Attraction... Or Reaction?
When you see someone that instantly makes your head turn,motor burn etc...Isnt that more of a reaction to whatever it is that caught your eye?I dont know about you but attitude is what gets me intrested.Physical beauty is great and all that but after many experiences chalked up in the negative.It takes alot more than a pretty face or a 26inch waste to get my attention. I think for me it's mainly reaction too. Of course with the kinda guy that usually turns my head it has a bit more to do with style than physical appearance. I also have quirky tastes. But it's the once you get to talking that will get me every time. |

I agree... Attitude defintly has a lot to do with getting my attention. I dont usually notice someone who is all stuck up and full of themselves, cause you can see that coming a mile away! That is just a turn off.. But someone that holds themself well, walks with assertivenesss and has this charm i take notice. There is a fine line! If I see a nice looking person, of course, my head will turn in their direction... but, to actually get me to become attacted to them it's not their looks that does it. It's their attitude... their playfullness and quirky behaviour, along with intelligence that really gets me interested. At that point, their looks come in second... to a degree.
If it is someone that I plan on dating... there has to be some sort of physical attraction, but usually it's not the hot guy that does it and more of the guy with average looks who becomes hotter than the physically "hot" guy due to his personality. | |

Looks come and go poof! Ultimately who cares? I don't feel sexual attraction for me is based on looks.

it's very rare that i am purely physically attracted to a person. there are some men out there that are considered very good looking but i always find it hard to be attracted to a complete stranger. only when i get to know someone do i become truly attracted to them. | |

What about you? Let's be honest: It's always a pretty face and/or a hot bod that turns our heads at first. Style and confidence help as well. But, if there's no emotional chemistry and no intellectual connection, it's not really worth pursuing, is it? One woman I was crazy about was not the hottest girl I'd ever dated but, when we spoke, sparks flew (I'm a sucker for a fast wit). What intrigues me is that most of us seem to be attracted to people who project "confidence". What does this say about us? Armchair psychologists? | |

I think we've all experienced (man or woman) meeting that really hot, attractive person - e ven having a crush on them from afar - then when you finally have the pooprtunity to get to know them.... they have a presonality that is dull - uninteresting or narrow-minded... and then all of a sudden poof! they are so attractive any more!
