Cosmetic Surgery

so i've been on my plastics placement, and have had a few private patients for the odd rhinoplasty and breast augmentation...and i have to say, these people are paying 1000's for relatively short and simple procedures - it costs less to have a hip resurfaced. privately!...anyhoo, seen and assisted in 3 rhinoplasties so if anyone needs a nose-job on the cheap, i'm ya man biggrin

no septoplasty though...you'll have to see a boxer.

I have no idea what you just said.

You assist in surgery? Are you a resident?

ok, an SHO = Surgical House Officer, who are Docs, after which comes Registrar, who are chasing the job of a Consultant.

when i qualify i will be at the same level as either an SHO or Registrar WITHOUT having to do an mbbs...but what i will be able to do will be VERY limited. in layman terms, i will be working in an operating theatre cutting patients open and closing them up with bits inbetween wink

Honey, I'm so American it hurts.

I'm guessing Consultant = Specialist (what we call them here)

So you will be essentially... a butcher or a seamstress?
