Animal Personality Milty's kitty thread made me think of this.
Every animal has a unique personality. I've had fish that had their own little personalities... anyway... let's talk about them! The cat I have now, Lester, well... he tucks my kids in every night... walks right into the room at bedtime and goes to each bed, sitting there, staring at them until I leave their rooms. He also likes to "ride" on my ankles. He'll grab ahold of my ankle while I'm walking and hang there until I come to a stop. He refuses to eat any food that's left in his bowl if he can see any part of the bottom of the bowl. He loves to talk to the birds and squirrels outside, mimicking their sounds and then looking back at us, almost like he's embarrassed if we heard him. Many things... but these were what came to mind first. Now I gotta run to work!

My cat used to meow at the door (what's new).
But then when I opened it, every single time he (Tom) would purr his thanks as he brushed past me. I mean, without fail. I miss that damn cat. [This message was edited Mon May 10 6:52:57 2004 by TheFrog]

I have 2 kitties.
Nino is part siameese and has become a TOTAL attnetion whore. She will nest on anyone's lap. Her favorite thing is laying on my chest when I'm laying down. This is cute but dangerous. She's a bit demanding and will smack my face with her paw (and she has claws) when I stop petting her. Lucy is a calico. She's neurotic as all get out. She's scared of almost everyone in the world but me and occasionally CarrieMpls. She loves to lay across me when I sleep which is fun in the winter but sucks now that it's getting warm. She also likes to lick plastic. Whatevs. This cat grew up with me when I was a crazy acid-addicted raver. I think she took on my paranoid traits from that time...

A cat I used to own long ago (Shana, she's the one in the photo on my website) would always crawl into bed with me at night and sleep on my neck...and only my neck. If I didn't start off laying on my back, she'd meow until I did, then lay her furry body across my neck and purr. I'd have to lay there every night for about 20 minutes before I could roll over and sleep normally...
Freakin' cat... | |

Moderator | Not the same I know but this song reminds me of the folks here at the org.....
At the Zoo Someone told me It's all happening at the zoo. I do believe it, I do believe it's true. It's a light and tumble journey From the East Side to the park; Just a fine and fancy ramble To the zoo. But you can take the crosstown bus If it's raining or it's cold, And the animals will love it If you do. Somethin' tells me It's all happening at the zoo. The monkeys stand for honesty, Giraffes are insincere, And the elephants are kindly but They're dumb. Orangutans are skeptical Of changes in their cages, And the zookeeper is very fond of rum. Zebras are reactionaries, Antelopes are missionaries, Pigeons plot in secrecy, And hamsters turn on frequently. What a gas! You gotta come and see At the zoo. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

My last cat I named Heiffer not cuz she was fat but becuz she was a little witch. I loved her but she was carazay. She used to crack me up so hard. I would pick her up and give her kisses and love and she would press against me with her paws indicating she didn't want it and then I would put her down and she would immediately come running back pawing at me for some attention. Can anyone say Sybil? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
