They had to come fix mine today, I'm $500 poorer but 100% cooler!

Fans works well too, if you get out of the shower and sit or stand in front of the fan while you're still wet. I did that a few times when my air conditioner was out, it helped.

People here literally die from the heat if proper or adequate cooling is not available or obtainable. It's all about $$$ (or lack of) and life necessities... to live.
