Depends...am I wanting to empty it or fill it up?
If I'm wanting to empty it, then it's half-empty...if I'm wanting to fill it up, then it's half-full. Either way, it's positive.

Half full!
Life is wonderful and worth living. To all things there is a season but oh when the bad seasons pass!

But...what if the glass is full of this nasty tasting medicine that you need to make yourself be healthy again...wouldn't you rather see the glass as half-empty? Great question..... I suppose it is that I do not see as, the glass being events but the way in which I will handle them. The glasses content is reflective on how I see my life force. In other words as a bad event occurs (In this case a glass of hellacios medication) I go on with the hope of knowing that that life is full and full of the hope of tomorrow and this is merely an event I must live through. I choose to live through the event with the core belief that the glass is half full and this to shall pass. I think it is dangerous for us to allow life events to fog over the greater picture. How did I do?

Empty and full are absolute states, such as dead and pregnant. So, something can't be half-full or half-empty.
But, I'm an optimist, to answer the spirit of the question. (Romans 8:28)
