10.5 - "The Big One" Corny movie on NBC tonight about the big earthquake that will supposedly someday hit California...
but, it did get me thinking. 
Have you ever been in an earthquake of great magnitude? |

Actually, I've been in a couple moderate earthquakes, when I lived in San Jose.
One day I was in Santa Cruz, fighting a traffic ticket, and I was going to stay the night, but decided to drive back to Sac at about 2:00pm. I walked in the door in Sac, it was 5:04pm and the World Series was on. Then the Northridge earthquake hit. I looked at everybody and said, "Holy Shit!! I would've been right smack in the epicenter of that thing had I stayed!" I missed it by about 2 and a half hours.  | |
