Here is just a tidbit of something that has been bothering me for the last few days. I have just started a new job that supports gay marriage, however it is one of the most homophobic companies that i have ever worked for. It all started yesterday when a co-worker claimed to be offended by a homosexual's low-rise jeans, claiming that they showed pubic hair. Following this claim, the entire dress code was changed to do away with low-rise jeans, along with flip-flops (thong sandals), cut off tee-shirts, any thing that bare's the mid-riff and any thing else that can be found insulting, offensive to anyone else in the company.

It seems that a country that is supposed to embrace equality has suddenly gotten back into a Marxist state, you are only allowed to fit in, anything that is seen as outside of the social register is considered unlawfull. I wouldn't be on such a rant, which is probably not making any sense, but the company is a contractor with the US Gov.

How can any employeer who claims to be such a beacon and asylum for homosexual's treat anyone this way? It truly makes no sense to me whatsoever. It wasn't directed at women, it was directed at the gay population of the company (30% of the workforce). It is fine for a woman to come in here and show her breast, a low rise top, or 3 lbs of make-up, but if a fag comes in with low-rise jeans, then the world will slowly come to a end.

Oh well, this is just a rant.
