What's Your Favorite Failed Product?

What was that one thing that was at your local grocery store, fast food restaurant, department store, etc. for all too brief a time that you actually LIKED?

(okay, so I HATED Crystal Pepsi, but I bet someone out there has a reserve of the stuff in their cellar for special occasions eek )

Taco flavored Doritos.

Not Taco Bell flavored Doritos - the original Taco flavor.

Man, I'm salivating.

Kelloggs discontinued its Healthy Choice cereals, about 4 years ago. My favorite was the healthful Raisin Almond Crunch, which the company replaced with the sugar-packed Raisin Brand Nut Crunch or something like that. 27 grams of sugar, just one less than my favorite, "vice" Tiramisu ice cream!

The Toffee Cookies that the then Luckys and now Albertsons used to bake and sell. They stopped selling them before they changed the store name (I don't know if it had anything to do with it). About 30 of 'em for $4.99, and they were a nice size, chewy and hella gooood. The second best cookies I ever had in my life.

Actually, they stopped selling all their flavors in the same container that they used to bake for some reason. I don't know why, because they sold a lot. You had to get certain flavors early before they sold out.

There are other things but I can't think of 'em right now.

I liked Pretzel Flips. I can't see why salty chocolate wasn't more popular! Little pretzels coated in chocolate. Mmmm.

I also like Vice Versas. They were milk chocolate in a hard white shell and white chocolate in a hard brown shell.

Maybe they still make these things in some part of the world???

There are some Dutch failed products that I looove.

There was a brand of new beer with a smaller percentage of alcohol that got commented on by one of our most known comedians (cabaratiers) on his old year conference (stand up) some years back. Because of this remark the sales dropped and the brand was taken off the market. Shows how shallow Dutchies can be.

Then there was thisminister of traffic that wanted a VERY EXPENSIVE one way lane that could switch directions. In the morning an extra lane into Amsterdam, in the eve an extra lane out of Amsterdam. It cost millions and it did not do ANYTHING to solve the traffic jams. Millions of taxpayers money spent. She went off to do Euro Parlement work and is probably now stuffing her own pockets.

New Coke.

As far as I know, it's still produced by a few bottlers as "Coke II." The Chicago bottler is or was one of them... I used to buy cases of Coke II when I visited that area. I've sold single cans on eBay for as much as $15.

How about surge? Is that shit still around? My high school science department used to offer 5 points of extra credit (which added up to be a lot) every month if you brought in 50 crushed soda cans. My family doesn't drink anything canned, so my mom would go to the supermarket and buy tons of cans of Surge because it was dirt cheap. We would just pour it down the drain...
