Have to say that I loved Volume 2.
Very different to Volume 1, and both were great in different ways.

Which reminds me, I watched Volume 1 again just before seeing Volume 2, and I noticed that
there's an Ice Cream van that drives past when the Bride pulls up outside Vernita Green's house.
Now if you've read the original script you'll know the significance of this... but as far as I was
aware the "Yuki's Revenge" chapter had been scrapped prior to filming, and the character of
Yuki had been dropped completely from the movie, with all her remaining scenes being
attributed to Go-Go. But if this is the case, then why the Ice Cream van?

I think that Tarrantino is just fucking with you. biggrin
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I absolutely adored Volume 2.. wow! Brilliant. worship

I agree. biggrin

I'm serious when I say that I'm struggling to think of a film that I've enjoyed more. It was THAT good!! smile

Tarrantino is the master as far as I'm concerned. He makes real FILMS.

Fuck I loved this masterpiece.

p.s doesnt Tarrrantino have the best "bit" actors. How fucking good is that little twerp that helped Bud dig the grave or the Mexican pimp father figure dude. Pure movie frickin magic!!! nod

Or the fighting master and his beard! You're so right!!! I thought the Mexican "father" was both hilarious and chilling.

I enjoyed it, but it doesn't work as a standalone movie. Very little happens in it, and your expectations tend to be sky high after volume 1. Really, Kill Bill needs to be just one movie for it to work. Which is what it was supposed to be.

Anyway, I still loved the whole thing from start to finish. Great stuff. I have seen the Japanese version of volume 1 but to be honest, I prefer the European release. I thought the b&w sequence was great smile

I hear QT has already re-edited Vol.1 & Vol.2 back together into one long movie,
and should be screening it first at Cannes.

Correct! Some are speculating that he may restore Bill's fight with Michael J White(!!!). Hope so!

Cool!
Now if only he would put Yuki's Revenge back in too...
But I guess he'd actually have to film it first... or would he? (wishful thinking)

I would. Volumes 1,2 and the single film on one DVD. Great movie!

I wish Q would work a bit quicker on his movies though.

So I finally got to watch "Kill Bill Vol. 2" today, and all I can is is WOW... What a complete waste of time that was...
It was like watching a daytime soap-opera, you know, comparable acting, empty (and useless) characters (what the hell was that Pai Mei character about except for just being a homage to old shaolin movies?? It was more like a bad spoof) ridiculous and not even funny or witty dialogues and well no chemistry whatsoever between the actors, boring plot, not even any cool fight scenes...
I'll watch it again of course just to be sure, but I can't help thinking that if it was just one three hour movie it would have been a "good" movie (and even that is stretching it), now I just find it to be utter pretentious crap... Too bad... I really wanted to like it... But it was a complete bore...
I hope it's gonna be released as one movie perhaps then it'll be good...
