I like CDex - small, quick, excellent.

PS Rip to Ogg not MP3, it's MILES better.

Does it matter if its an older CD when you convert to Ogg

I found that Audiograbber 1.83 Audio Recording Studio 3.0 was the best to use since I had the encoders already. Its interesting to hear the difference.

The problem with finding a good Ripper is finding one that does OGG and MP3 files with a compatible ENCODER that doesn't put alot of ADWARE on your system. Why is it that most rippers don't come packaged with a set of encoders? Was there legal concerns or OS variety?

CDex is fine on all these scores. It converts WAVs to MP3/OGG/whatever you want too, not just CDs. It's got lots of other encoders too (WMA, AAC, MP2...)

And yes, you can rip older CDs too!
If you want MP3, use the LAME encoder. But I'd still go for ogg every time.

Hope this helps!!
