You should see Seabiscuit: The Lost Documentary (1939)

Rediscovered after over 60 years, this "lost" film is an extraordinary piece of horse racing history. This original documentary was made in 1939 by Seabiscuit's owner, Charles Howard, in honor of Seabiscuit winning the coveted title of "Horse of the Year". You'll see Seabiscuit's birth, his early life at the stables, and Seabiscuit's first race where his fourth place finish earned him $50. Watch Charles Howard purchase Seabiscuit after a claiming race, and trainer Tom Smith put Seabiscuit through workouts. This action-packed film chronicles Seabiscuit's most thrilling races including the heart-stopping photo finish at the Santa Anita Handicap, and the legendary match race with War Admiral. You've read the bestselling novel and seen the major motion picture; now you can experience a rare authentic journey back to the 1930's, when the sensational Seabiscuit was in his prime. Expertly restored in the original black-and-white format, and expanded to include a vibrant color version, this fast-paced film will appeal to horseracing aficionados, history buffs and anyone who's ever loved a champion.

I was also thinking about "Chariots of Fire", but - I don't really remember a lot about it... good song though. confused

IMO, "The Natural" was incredible! Directed by Mr. Redford and starring Mr. Redford... it was really sad how he had to wait so long to realize his dream... great film!

I also considered the Dennis Quaid movie, "The Rookie".

Keanu Reeves "Hard Ball" (I think that was the title - a couple years ago, about a guy down on his luck coaching a bunch of kids in the ghetto...) another tear jerker.

"A League of Their Own" - Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnell, Lori Petty and Madonna... wonderful movie about the women who played baseball during WWII.

Hey... how about John Candy in "Cool Running"! That was funny, sad and entertaining. (I miss John Candy... sad )

Her middle name, Kaur, means "princess", and is the middle name of every Sikh girl. Her full name can be translated as "Supreme Goddess Princess of Snakes."

She plays a med student at ER who screws up in comical and not-so-comical ways? Or create labor problems among the nurses, leading to a walkout? Or introduce new characters for no reason other than to pair them with existing characters, so the show’s love matches won’t be quite so incestuous?
