I watched Saturday Night Live last week for the first time in awhile and the show WAS TERRIBLE!!! There were so many new actors and the scripts weren't even funny. What I'm wondering is when was the cast changed?

I think Tina Fey (head writer of SNL) got lazy after she won her Emmy. Just my theory - there were at least a handful of funny moments per episode before the award, and now it just seems like she and the rest of them are like, "screw you, we're on SNL and you're not." I think all the post 9-11 stuff with Guiliani and having to take it easy on the president kinda hurt the show's "edge" in the bigger picture, too.

Seriously, it does need an enema. The problem is a lack of consistency. Any time one of those folks imagines themselves to be even marginally famous, they leave the show.
