yes, rdhull made an off-color remark about me...yes i forwarded an email to ben about it and ben decided to take action based on my concern...there has to be consistency with moderation if your ever going to have it be respected...all of the drama from the past few weeks is due to inconsistency within moderation...rdhull took it upon himself to make inflammatory statements towards many people..he fabricated facts and ignored the spirit of the rules of this site...yes, i agree that he has developed a lot of personal relationships here...and im sorry that those people will not be able to interact with him on this forum...once i felt i was being harassed by rdhull i asked him to ignore me..he agreed..yet he took it upon himself to refer to me in a degrading manner...its unfortunate and i wish he didn't because i was quite content with ignoring him...

do i think rdhull hates? no...do i think he needs to learn to respect people's sexual orientation? hell yeah...for someone who is so pensioned about racial equality to be so dismissive of sexual equality is beyond me...the fact of the matter is, all the words that appear on this site are attached to an individual...and while we can disagree with our ideals we still must be respectful of eachother..isnt that why so many are happy to see icenine and chemmie gone? yet people dismiss rdhull's hate fueled comments because he is amiable? his "sista" comment was only one of many comments that led to his being banned...
so rather then ask why he was deactivated maybe you should ask him why he felt compelled to continually degrade people...now obviously you were not a target of his entertainment...but that shouldnt dismiss the problem...and think about if this were ice (or matt or chemmie or aaron)...would you be so dismissive of their actions?

for the record i recommended to ben that all deactivated orgers be allowed back..as long as they keep to the rule of "keeping it friendly"..that would include rdhull...i met him at sheila e's family jamm..and while he ranted about me not liking him (even though i didnt even know who he was) i still found him to be a genuinely nice guy...and it was that meeting that let me dismiss his behavior for a couple months...but when it goes on and on and on and on...well, what else do you do?

im open for suggestions...

I think many of you know how far I can be pushed around here. Very very far. Do I ever want to destroy someone...yes. Instead of resorting to name calling how about relying on facts and presenting your side in as rational a way as possible. I know, believe me I know, it aint easy but it can be done.

This isn't about SOS, Chris or I being overly sensitive about "Sistah" remarks. Seriously one guy fucking alluded to gay bashing and even then I didn't report his ass to the mods. You can push me very far... However, even though you may not have witnessed it, RD did have a pattern of resorting to insulting insinuations and slams in his personal disputes around here.

Do I think he's homophobic? I don't think so. I have known the guy for years and I have always gotten along with him. It seems lately he's been more easily aggravated and taking that aggravation out on others. This is about approach. I have had several people that I quite literally hate for being such big assholes. It was never worth it to get into it so I ignored them. For the most part they ignored me as well. If they did not ignore me and followed me around and kept on and on, yes I would have dealt with it. You can not blame anyone for finally having too much of it.

For me this thing with Chris and RD was too much. This has been going on for quite some time and none of us has mentioned it because it didn't seem worth the trouble it would cause. This time it did...

All I know is, we had our moments (both good and bad). Overall, I've known him to be a pretty civil personality on this site.

I would hope that all measures of restraint were taken and/or agreed upon from RD and the site before his removal took place; but WE NEVER KNOW THE WHOLE STORY UNLESS WE WERE INVOLVED IN THE DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS TAKEN. We are not.

Personally, I'd like to see him back here. But, we've been through this before with RD. So, I'm sure in time he'll be back again... chill folks.

When are we gonna get it through our 'thick' heads that this is not a membership, or a paid club, or a luxury cruise. This is one person's site. Rules are posted and must be abided by... those who don't are warned, then banished.

Quitcha bitchin'! RD's a big boy... he'll be back, and I'll be one of the first to welcome him back when he does.

That being said, I doubt RD himself thinks there was absolutely no reason to deactivate him. He may think it was unfair considering other moderation decisions, but he had been daring the mods for a while and with a certain pride too. In other words, he was defiant and took the risks like protesters take risks at demonstrations and get arrested, "for the cause"..The homophobic comment was like smashing a window, an act of disobedience but not his true attitude toward gay men, if I've learned anything about the guy over the years.
