Yep lol yes

And here are footnote conclusions from the above trivia....
    1. The record for most nominations without a single win is held by A Turning Point and The Color Purple which were each nominated for 11 Academy Awards.

    2. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) holds the record for most Oscar nominations without a single loss.

Sorry.....I rather liked the Dutch film.....De Tweeling is another release in the overcrowded WorldWar II department. And it includes every factual and visual cliché there is available about the war in Holland. I read the book, De Tweeling by Tessa de Loo, and I must say that the movie most certainly lived up to the high quality of the book, in some ways even surpassed it. The movie then brilliantly uses flashbacks to reveal the scar that has separated the two for life, and it mostly comes down to the second world war, both living and experiences it in a different way and place. Sad, but Inspiring.....

Although, it'll be interesting to see how Mel Gibson is received/rearded/treated/ignored for the "Passion." Already, movie critics are predicting that it won't be nominated for best picture. At best, some say, it'll be nominated in technical categories like cinematography.

The first hour ....

Blow by Blow

5:32 p.m.: Even host Billy Crystal needs his own presenter, and Sean Connery obliges with a gushing tribute to the movies that "bind us together and touch the humanity of all of us." Did he catch Dumb and Dumberer?

5:32 p.m.: Cue Crystal in a Middle-Earth spoof, trying to summon the courage to host the Oscars after three years out of commission.

5:35 p.m.: Crystal obviously didn't insist on a no-nudity rider--but he should have insisted on a personal trainer. He tells audiences they can catch the telecast in Aramaic, before breaking into his now traditional dinner-theater song serenading the evening's Best Picture noms.
5:41 p.m.: We think mama-to-be Marcia Gay Harden is about to give birth on Clint Eastwood's head.

5:49 p.m.: Crystal shuts up long enough to allow Catherine Zeta-Jones to announce the nominees for the first award of the evening. Is it any wonder this show runs long?

5:51 p.m.: The first Oscar of the night goes to Tim Robbins for Best Supporting Actor for Mystic River. We can sense the ABC censor fingering the five-second delay button.

5:53 p.m.: Robbins, who's wearing a subtle peace pin on his lapel, winds up his speech urging victims of abuse and violence to seek help (and avoid a vengeful Sean Penn), but he avoids Iraq, Haiti, gay marriages, the Super Bowl scandal and The Passion of the Christ. Phew.

5:57 p.m.: Ian McKellen is babbling on about how great it was filming the The Lord of the Rings. Ever notice how, thanks to his British accent, he can yak about anything and it sounds really cool?

6:02 p.m.: Angelina Jolie presents the Best Art Direction award to the, um, art directors for LOTR. What about the person who did her many visible tattoos? Now, there's some art direction!

6:05 p.m.: Billy Crystal introduces "the reason for our five-second delay," Robin Williams, who stands behind Crystal and re-creates some sort of weird homage to Señor Wences. Señor Wences! No wonder the Oscars are known as the hippest of all the awards shows.

6:06 p.m.: No surprises in the 'toon department: Finding Nemo wins the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature--which makes us wonder as we go to commercial, Are there any fish sticks in the freezer?

6:13 p.m.: And it's a Lord of the Rings sweep thus far, as Renée Zellweger, sans any apparent Bridget Jones bulge, gives out the award for Best Costume Design to the Return of the King clothiers.

6:16 p.m.: Crystal's back with his list of the rich and infamous' favorite movies: Martha Stewart gives a thumbs-up to Runaway Jury; Hillary Clinton's keen on Kill Bill: Volume 1; Rush Limbaugh and Bobby Brown both enjoyed 21 Grams; and Saddam Hussein just loved Holes.

6:17 p.m.: Coppola family member Nicolas Cage, who's introducing Best Film nominee Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, got the acting talent, but it looks like Francis lucked out in the hair department.

6:23 p.m.: Zellweger's back to collect her Best Supporting Actress trophy. Is it her lopsided dress, or is the Cold Mountain star about to keel over? She thanks just about everyone, but she's talkingtoofast for us to get any of the names.

6:24 p.m.: Tom Hanks emerges to the strains of "Hail to the Chief." Huh? A sign of political things to come?

6:25 p.m.: Oops. That must have been meant for the late, great Bob Hope, who gets a well-deserved three-minute tribute.

6:31 p.m.: A tux-clad Owen Wilson and a cardiganned Ben Stiller--plugging his role as the cardigan-favoring Starsky in his and Wilson's Starsky & Hutch flick--intro the nominees for Best Short, which include Most, written and produced by one William Zabka, better known as Johnny, the bad guy in The Karate Kid.

Oooh, we hated that guy! Anyway, he didn't win. Hey, where has Ralph Macchio been hiding himself these days, anyway? Oh yeah, Two Soldiers is the live-action short that did win.
