KFC Please watch where you eat...
Less than 3 weeks ago, I went to KFC and ordered a 3-piece original recipe chicken & biscuit dinner. I noticed it had a stale/sour taste, but I kept eating it anyway because I was hungry. Directly after eating it, 45 minutes later I had this uncontrollable white horsespit salivating from my mouth. I was spitting incessantly. I didn't equate it to the chicken just yet so I went to sleep. I woke up an hour and 30 mins. later with a terrible headache and stomachache. I ran to the bathroom and I started vomitting. I realized by that time it was from the chicken I ate. It gets worse... I had a plane to catch on the same day. My mom was driving me to the airport and then as soon as I got to the airport I vomitted near the skycap because of the motion of the car. I checked-into my plane and as soon as it started moving I vomitted again. It was dead silent on the plane and everybody was just looking at me like I was crazy. People passed over about 6 or 7 motion sickness bags to me. During the course of the 5 hour flight from L.A. to Detroit, I vomitted 7 times. When I reached DTW, I went to a restroom and vomitted again! This time, the chicken was no longer in my body and my stomach was completely cleared out (I was vomitting bile -- the black liquid lining around my stomach). I thought that would be the last time I threw up. I arrived back to my apartment and I drank some water. I threw the water up! I found out that the poultry I consumed from was improperly cooked and had traces of samonella bacteria. I had SAMONELLA FOOD POISIONING from eating KFC chicken! I reported that KFC restaurant to the L.A. County Department of Health, I called the KFC general offices and reported it. I even talked to the manager of the local KFC and I told them, "how do you perform on health inspections?" He said, "Our restaurant gets all 'A''s" (in Los Angeles, restaurants are graded by letter grades "A" means you have a clean restaurant, if you receive less than a "C" you have to close). I told him my samonella food poisoning and vomitting story and he then had the audacity to say "I'm so sorry...um, can we give you a discount, WOULD YOU LIKE SOME MORE CHICKEN?" I was like, "HELL NO!" And there you have it folks. That was the last time I ate at KFC. And it happened this year for god's sake! The taste of original recipe chicken reminds me of vomit and bile. I now cook my own food on a regular basis and shy away from fast food restaurants.

Sorry to hear this, but I wouldn't eat KFC if it was the last thing on this earth to eat. I haven't eaten there for more than 25 years. I can't stand places like that or McDonalds, burger king etc.

My whole family got food poisoning from a local pizza shop. We were literally projectile vomiting and in the bathroom for 2 days. But on the same note, we've had pizza from that place for nearly 20 years. Even the cleanest restaraunts can make a mistake now and then.
I will say tho, the oil that they fry stuff in is usually downright nasty. That stuff is often used for a couple days before its changed and replaced with fresh oil. Restaraunts generally "filter" the oil at the end of each night and add some powder to it to "freshen" it up a bit and remove some of the foul taste it develops from being used too much. This is to extend the life of it. It goes in almost crystal clear, and by the end of the night, its like dark brown tar with charred remnants of other food items floating around in it. Your food is being cooked in that. When they drain it, there is several inches of muck at the bottom of the fryer.

Lesson #1: Do not eat food that has a stale/sour taste.
Lesson #2: Cut back on the fast food. Even Jack in the Box makes me queazy. I don't know how I lived off of fast food so many years. Now I'm very careful where I eat when I eat out. Better food costs more, but it's worth it. Making your own food is always best.

Did you get medical proof that you indeed had salmonella poisoning? If so, contact a lawyer. Frivolous lawsuits are ridiculous but if you have proof, you actually have a case of negligence on the part of your local KFC. A lawyer would charge a minimal fee to write a letter to KFC's home office. You could do it yourself, send it Certified Mail and threaten to contact a lawyer or the media. They will want to settle in no time. If they are indeed responsible for your sickness, it's time to collect! boo-ya! You owe me $500 if you collect based upon my advice.
I had a friend that found a band-aid inside an Arby's sammich once. I believe he collected about $30K for the error. It did not take long since Arby's settled. "There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt." - Aleister Crowley

:PUKE: That is pretty nasty. I had two similar, though not as disgusting, errors about two weeks ago. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse and my partner found a nice sized piece of string in her salad. It looked like somebody could have pulled it from a run in their bluejeans. The manager said that the lettuce comes in bags that have string on them and he thought that is what it was. Our meal was free and we left it at that. A day or so before that my partner found a small shard of glass on her pizza from Pizza Hut. Luckly she found it before eating it. We contacted Pizza Hut and got a few coupons for free pizza. I'm not too worried about the food I eat simply because I don't want to be constantly paranoid, but you always have to check for things like that. It's a mad world. Some people do it to be destructive, sometimes it is an accident, sometimes neglegence. You just have to be cautions. "There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt." - Aleister Crowley

I have a tendency to think that everyone is as careful with the preparation of food as I am. I'm obsessive when it come to that. I'm also very particular about whose food I'm consuming. I won't just eat anybody's cooking. And, I don't mean to offend anyone, but in the home, animals (pets) do not belong in the kitchen, imo. (Hair in the food). As far as dining out goes......I bless my food, hope for the best, and keep my eyes open, as well.
