One of my favorite parts of that movie was when that dread picked up a copy of Burning Spear's (Marcus Garvey?) Album. I was like hell yeah! horns

This is a great film imho.

Did you know they are about to make a sequel with the grown up Natalie Portman reprising her role?
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Yeah, 'Leon' is a great movie. Was it really called 'The

It looks like it was Sly! It's definitely the same movie judging by the still. I was just wondering why they renamed it. Anyhow it is a great movie.

To cap it off, in Australia I think it was called "Leon: The Professional" lol

I got my DVD of the movie from the UK and it is just called "Leon".

Correct. They renamed it here because we had a successful similarly titled TV show a decade or more earlier! Go figure! confuse

great movie.

oh, and the title was changed because "The Professional" makes it sound like any generic shlock Hollywood puts out, so they probably assumed people would come to see it/rent it on that basis alone. plus "Leon" is a pretty stupid name for a movie.

i liked it a lot on the first viewing. i think it's a movie that's only great once, because the great thing about it is its shock factor.

cool. i found it hard to sit through the second and third times. it's less "violence is fun" after that and more just disturbing, to me.
