Cocktails and pool parties... Hmmm...is this a deadly mix? 
If so, i would have been in big trouble yesterday if the weather was hot enough..aren't u not supposed to drink or eat before swimming...  No hablo espanol,no!

Common misconception.
What you are actually meant to not do is swim before swimming. You might tire yourself out before you get in the water. This could potentially lead to an inability to get out of dangerous situations like rip-tides or funnel-weave. The key thing to remember is to only swim while swimming.
