My boss is a Grinch and I am miserable

OK here is the deal...

My boss gave the people in my office a shitty christmas party.. I havent' gotten a christmas bonus in 2 years.. I haven't gotten a raise in 2 and a half years...
My boss has been promising me she would hire me a secretary and has still not.. Hence that was AGAIN 2 YEARS AGO!! She is evil.. Pure evil.. evil
I am being burned at both ends and am exhausted every night I head out of the office. I am working my fingers to the bone and getting paid the same salary as I have for the past 2 years.. taking on double the work.
I am buring myself out and that stupid bitch hasnt' even noticed.. I need a new job..
Anyone want to help me burn her ass at the stake??? mad bawl

REDFEATHERS

Start the New Year looking for a new job. You are wasted there, and she is really taking advantage of you BabyCakes. I bet there are loads of companies out there that will appreciate you and your hard work and will show that in promotion, raises and team work help.

Seriously, think about it over Christmas. You dont wanna be saying the same stuff next year about your boss, do you? wink

Good Luck anyway! hug And try not to let it worry you over Christmas. rose

And then start looking for a new job with a male boss! If U don't get the raise u asked for, spend a nite at the office and look forwards to your next paycheck! wink

I've had a few bosses like that in my time. I'm very fortunate to have a good one now (just for the record, she is female, so not all of them make bad bosses)

I've had wonderful bosses who were women. It's usually kinda silly to even mention the gender of your boss when it comes to personalities, isn't it? Aren't we over that whole thing by now, or do we still think women are ruled by their emotions and that men are all angry perverts, and other stereotypes? biggrin

I DIDN'T EVEN MENTION IF SHE WAS MALE OR FEMALE.. I JUST CALLED HER A BITCH.. which she is..

I think it dont' matter what the sex is, but working for men and women in my past.. i see that women do feel they need to almost prove a "point" in the working field.
It is just the way it is.. Some women do, and some dont'. but we can't classify all in the same category!

nod Yes, you do. No raise in 2 and a half years, and you're being overworked with double the workload? Unfortunately, being overworked and underpaid is common. I don't think you should quit before you have something lined up already, but I would start looking for a new job. I really feel for people who are miserable in their work. I've been there before, and to me there really aren't that many worse things in life to endure. Getting out of bed to essentially be unhappy is horrible. sad I understand some may have to do it for a while, but not forever.
