(ya bastid) [This message was edited Mon Dec 15 8:42:56 PST 2003 by cborgman] A couple of years ago, I met Bruce Campbell, and he gave me some great advice: if you want to act, become a producer! I've wanted to do this role ever since I heard the original cast album several years ago, and I got tired of waiting for a local theater to do it! . [This message was edited Mon Dec 15 8:57:49 PST 2003 by JediMaster] whoa. good for you. megcongrats! AND you met bruce campbell!? you ARE the jedimaster!! Actually, I've met Bruce on a couple of occassions, at the original Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin. He's an incredibly nice, funny guy! He gave me lots of good advice about acting, and for that I thank him! i met him at a book signing. he was very cool. i was wearing a t-shirt with a imprint of the world's largerst human hand, and he put his hand over it to see how it measured up. a friend of mine who is madly in love with him could not be there, so i got her gook signed for her, and he asked what i wanted it to say. i said "dear rachel, chris is the bestest friend ever, he stood in line for two hours to get my stupid signature" he laughed and wrote it out, and then took a picture with me holding a mask over my head that was a print out of her face so it looked like she was there with him. a very cool guy. Was that the book signing at Book People in Austin? I love that store!!! . Okay, that was the same day that I saw him the second time, at the Draft House. He presented his film "Fanalysis" that night. The first time I met him was in 1999, when he presented the Evil Dead Trilogy.
When I lived in Austin, I practically lived at that store (okay, maybe that's an exagerration, but I was in there at least once a week). I make a point of popping by there anytime I go back.
