I just thought I'd share with my fellow Orgers my latest artistic endeavour: I will be producing a play in 2004!

I will produce and star in Hedwig & The Angry Inch (this is, of course, dependent on me landing the rights) in Houston sometime in the spring. I've hired my director, and we've already cast the part of Yitzak. We're currently negotiating with a couple of different venues in the Houston metro area (can't say more until an actual deal is made, but we are trying to get a nightclub, rather than a typical theater). This is all in the very early stages, so there isn't a whole lot to tell yet, but I'm very excited!!! I'll keep everyone posted as things progress.

Congrats! You'll have your work cut out for you, believe me.

This play was done in Mpls about 2 years ago and it was AMAZING! I think it's an excellent choice to direct! Good luck!

Actually, I've met Bruce on a couple of occassions, at the original Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin. He's an incredibly nice, funny guy! He gave me lots of good advice about acting, and for that I thank him!

If it wasn't for cborgman and now jedimaster I had never thought of texas as a state where people entertain but more so I pictured it as just another state like Utah (where I grew up) having many cows, cornfields, rodeos, and a few droids found here and there... big ups to jedimaster on your production!!!

i met him at a book signing. he was very cool. i was wearing a t-shirt with a imprint of the world's largerst human hand, and he put his hand over it to see how it measured up. a friend of mine who is madly in love with him could not be there, so i got her gook signed for her, and he asked what i wanted it to say. i said "dear rachel, chris is the bestest friend ever, he stood in line for two hours to get my stupid signature" he laughed and wrote it out, and then took a picture with me holding a mask over my head that was a print out of her face so it looked like she was there with him. a very cool guy.

Yeah, its a common misconception that Texas is just like it appears in all the movies and TV shows. Towns like Houston, Austin and Dallas are quite happening!
