I finally watched Chicago last night Even though it is not my type of movie I thought it was quite good.
It was surprising to see Richard Gere be so good and actually sing and dance ok. 
Catherine Zita Jones owned the screen everytime she was on it. Oh my... 
The other supporting characters were great, especially John. C. Reilly as Roxie's husband. The major dissapointment was Renee Zellwegger (sp?) as Roxie. She acts well but she cant sing or dance all that well imho. Also, she is too damn skinny and her face looks really ugly which I think diminishes from the role as she's supposed to be hot. I dont understand how it won Best Picture but it is still very good. Anyone else have an opinion? . Renee's pumpkin face reeeallly bugged me in "Down With Love". Someone should have numbed those wriggling lips of hers and told her to hold still for a damn change, good lord it was like watching slugs mate under her nose. | |
