iTunes

I use iTunes to organize all of the mp3s I have on my computer. i have about twelve gigs currently and have more discs to burn into my computer and more mp3s to download (only the legal kind of downloading of course). Just wondering if anyone else uses iTunes and what their thoughts are on it. I love it, personally, although I have been told that it takes up a lot of disc space.

it takes up very little disk space on my comp. i kinda wish itunes had stayed with mac only so windows users wouldnt be able to use it. use the radio feature, it is the most delicious thing.

I just switched from Musicmatch to iTunes and it really is great. Also, syncing my iPod takes only seconds now.

Yeah I like iTunes, but hey, it's an Apple OS X thing. No viruses, no crashes (since February 2003).
  • Smart Playlist facility in iTunes is SO useful for keeping track of what I listen to. Example Smart Playlists I've made are: Most Played Prince, Least Played Prince, Top Ranking Prince
  • It's a great jukebox and Apple Music Store, not here in Europe yet, is fully integrated within iTunes application.
  • Radio streaming provides access to so much variety, Prince relevant station is NewPowerRadio. D'you know any others?
  • iTunes-BPM Inspector FREEWARE from Blacktree lets you add Beats Per Minute to tunes in playlist, kind of useful for doing instant mixes based on BPM and also when transcribing tunes.

You on Windows? Read SWITCH

DOWNLOAD iTunes HERE for Mac or Windows.

[pre:1:ecf47ea745]Please note I'm a contented user and I'm not pushing for Apple for any other reason than total satisfaction with it.
I run Windows machines too, there's no comparison, believe me.
