Extracting Audio from DVDvideo, anyone? I just received some singles I had ordered and they sent me DVD instead of audio.
I don't know who plays a 10 minute DVD . Not me. But if I could extract the sound files I could burn a proper CD single I could play everywhere. Anyone can help on this one? Thank you

Are you sure you're not really wanting to turn the Aladdin DVD into audio? Or the Rave DVD?
This sounds suspiciously like someone who goes into a chemist and hasn't got the balls to ask for condoms.

Can't ya just play it through your computer and use a program like Cool Edit Pro (or a very basic sound recorder) to save it as an mp3? It's the same way I archive my old vinyl and cassettes. Not as good as converting straight from DVD tho', if someone kno'.

When I want to do this (and, I have often), I'd route the audio RCA cabling through my external Audio CD Burner (I have a Sony, but there is also a few other brands), and extract the audio straight from the source. When I'm done doing that as one long track, I'll seperate it manually. Pretty damn clean copy when I do it this way... Also, just out of curiousity, is there something wrong with extracting the audio from the Aladdin DVD or Rave DVD??? I have done this with all the live DVD's or VHS tapes Prince has floting around...

I don't think it's wrong. I just want to be able to listen to something I have paid for, whenever, wherever I chose to, and not just in front of my DVD player.
