I've just passed a tear!

cry A tear has just fallen out of my left eye! I ain't sad or crying over anything in particular. Maybe the stress of my everyday life has contributed, but I've just been taken in by a very beautiful song.

Many rivers to cross by Jimmy Cliff (I guess it's his amazing voice)

What songs get you emotional / when was the last time U got this emotional?

"Mary Magdalene," by MeShell Ndegeocello
"Power Fantastic," by we all know who.
"Stairway to Heaven," Led Zeppelin
"Two Hot Girls," Carly Simon (an odd on, but has a certain special meaning to me)

well what's the special meaning?...that's what we're here for--to discuss things. Spill it.

thumbs up! It's my belief that Power Fantastic is the greatest song Prince has released thus far. He knows it himself. I'm sure what I get from the lyrics are not what P intended, but it's genius nonetheless.

But Stairway To Heaven is overblown cock-rock pish, in my forever humble opinion. I can just see Plant's granite-hard boner bulging through his skin-tight denims as he sang. Twat.

TRON

Last time I got this emotional was to Tori Amos' "Playboy Mommy" and before that "Twinkle".

Music makes me cry all the time though. Not always because it's sad though. I'm just overly stimulated by it. Sometimes the combination of sounds or the way a song is sung or a Prince guitar solo just gets me going.

When I was younger drunk and alone Another Lonely Christmass

This summer I came right to the edge when I watched Purple Rain from the avenue 83 for the first time, thinking about how this mans music has been the sountrack to so much of my life

Perhaps your right with Stairway, but I feel this image in the long run did the band a disservice, there is a depth to be plumbed in a lot of the music that gets ignored

My fiance and I were just shopping in a home design store, happily looking at bathroom fixtures, when he lets of a huge fart! This is in the middle of a store where mostly everyone is walking around with their decorator, they were just far enough away not to know for sure who did it, but, theyyy knew!!! Needless to say I was laughing so hard I shed a few tears and nearly hyperventilated!!! smile
