Everyone wants to be understood... I think men want to not be hassled (or "communicated with", as we call it smile ...Given a good amount of freedom..But also know that they're loved and wanted...I think men wish they could express themselves better in general, and be heard.

I don't think it has to do with women and men. It's just hard to know what the other thinks, gender has nothing to do with it.

nod

Then again many men feel helpless, simply not knowing how to express themselves and frustrated. And society pushes them into a certain role. It's getting better though. It's sad though, how long men have been sabatoging themselves.

No I know. And I've also seen that if you let one of those men know it's ok, he will open up.

I'm not sure I could say that all men want one thing any more than I could say that all women want another. It depends on the person.

The only way you'll really get to know what a person wants is to ask them I guess.

Exactly! We R all different, but share some of the same characteristics of both genders. Both women & men of TODAY have also exchanged certain characteristics & roles that USED 2 be "labeled" for one or the other, but changes like working moms, stay-at-home dads, more assertive women, less stress on the men, etc., have made each genders needs & wants unique 2 that individual & not bcuz they R male or female.

I have 2 agree here. Men, much MORE than women, have a hard (no pun intended) time expressing themselves & communicating. Then they later say we dont understand them! Well, duh! If we dont know whatssup with a man, how can we understand? Actually expressing onesself 2 another is a very healthy & cleansing experience, making one feel lots better than keeping it inside...How many misunderstandings & ill feelings could be prevented by being "open & honest" with someone, even if its not EXACTLY what THEY want/like 2 hear??? Talking things out mostly ALWAYS helps ANY situation, good or bad...U HEAR ME MEN???
