Comedic tragedies/dramas are what I like the most, so my answer has to be "both at the same time". If a movie manages to be funny, dark, disturbing and moving all at the same time, then it has usually managed to connect with me (because to me that is what life is mostly like). See for example Mike Leigh´s "Naked" or Terry Gilliam´s "Brazil" - great movies that defy clear categorization. | |
