Who here suggested the film "Irreversible?"

Cause I bought it, watched it, and five days later, am still affected by it.
Brutal movie, one that I would be hard pressed to subject myself to again...paradoxically, the lessons in the movie are so important I feel that I need to watch it again. Go figure.

I never saw Irreversible, what's it about?

Requiem For A Dream was pretty unsettling as well, but not like Irreversible. If you haven't seen it, and enjoy (or, should I say, are fascinated by, cause enjoy is not the right word) movies that deal with the human condition, then you should definitely watch Irreversible.

Irreversible is about action and consequence, among other things, and it's not a film that you would watch with a friend or significant other.
To be honest, it's a hard film to describe. I read the reviews and thought they were interesting, so I bought it. Glad I did, and not so glad that I did.

Man, I wish I could explain it...it's just the way the movie was made, the way it unfolds, the subject matter, and the brutality...mental and physical. After watching it, I was damn glad that I was alone. It's one of those movies that would just make you squirm thinking about what the other person is thinking.

I never saw Irreversible, but I HATED HATED HATED the director's film "I Stand Alone" which had the STUPIDEST ending Ive seen in a film.

Ive heard Irreversible is a better film but Gasper Noe is just one of those guys who's trying to shock you into submission...just for the hell of it.

For those who doubt this...why the fuck would he have a William Castle-like warning flash on the screen when the ending of the movie is about to happen??

Has anyone seen the movie Gummo? That really disturbed me, it was like driving by a bad car accident the whole time I watched it, I didn't want to look, but couldn't help it.

Gummo was masterbation as cinema. Korine is a GREAT writer and a director of some talent (Julien Donkey Boy is GREAT) but I FUCKING HAAYYY-TED Gummo.

It seems like this is the movie that all the Art Drecks like...
