Starbucks is a coffee cafe that specalizies in serving all types of coffees and cakes and brownies and stuff that taste good with the coffee...I dont think it's overseas but just in the States.

I don't think much about Starbucks, but I hear they have a great pumpkin coffee around this time of year. I'd love to try it.

there's at least two of 'em nearby my house...i've never understood why their coffee's so popular as it is...

Starbucks doesn't engage in fair trade practices, plus they're so "corporate", which is why they get flak. Probably deservedly.

Their coffee isn't really all that great, either. It's well-known in the coffee industry as being quite a bitter tasting coffee.

Anyplace that makes espresso can make lattes and mochas and americanos, etc., so if you like coffee but don't want to support Starbucks, try to branch out to the smaller (non-Starbucks) coffee shops that use a good bean. Peets coffees out of San Francisco are great. Seattle's Best and Tully's are pretty good, too.

oh no it's everywhere in the world. i actually stopped going to Starbucks. i know their coffee is good but i believe they are squeezing out the mom and pop coffee shops in neighbourhoods.
without this getting into a political debate, the main reason i stopped is cuz i don't want to give American chains my money anymore. i stopped going to Gap, Tower, Starbucks, etc.
i'm not anti-American, i just realize the take over bid by these American companies and how it is affecting the tinier businesses in the UK.
