What makes a pumpkin patch sincere?

Since the Halloween season is upon us and one of my favorite things to do this time of year is watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" I've been asking myself a question...

In "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" Linus is always saying that The Great Pumpkin will only visit the most sincere pumpkin patches...Well, what makes a pumpkin patch sincere?
Any ideas?

confuse
