Obviously at times it is necessary to remove content, but stifling good discussion isn't something we should be striving for. I wouldn't want to live in a world where any opinions that differed to my own could be instantly banished. I like hearing other peoples' opinions on stuff. Actually, I think this whole mess said a lot of positive things about people not only here and on the Org, but also about the attitudes of those folks who go to events like the one at Berlin. It seems like much ado over one very raggedy post over at NPGMC, but maybe it was a conversational bubble that needed to be burst. I'm kinda glad it did - I think a lot of good came out of it. | |

People have misinterpreted my words many times, but never have I seen so many people get offended by an experience they didn't even have to go through. I grew from my experience at Chicagonation's September party, so I thought it would be entertaining to share the story. But what did it get me? 1. Two, possibly three, deleted threads in a row. 2. Given no reason as to how I was offensive so I can avoid it in the future. 3. Being accused of threatening somebody, which I didn't, and would never do. 4. Having several of the "elite" posters gang up on me, even though most of them hadn't read the original thread. 5. And I'm sure several smart remarks to follow. I ain't gonna cry 'bout this no mo! From now on I'll keep my experiences to myself and just use them in my screenplays. The group of gay men taking my girl was too funny and will be used. To those involved, I have nothing but love for you, and will be the first to extend my arms for a hug if we ever meet. Thanks for making me feel more connected to the members. HYPOCRITES UNITE!!! ___ I hope he uses this shit in his screenplays cuz it's COMEDY!!! | |
