Hurricane Isabel remnants in Michigan! I always find this so strange. To turn on the Weather Channel and find a huge storm coming towards me from the wrong direction - Southeast. I'm sure it was devastating for those in the direct path of the eye, but I find it so cool when a hurricane reaches where I live. Unusual rain, blustery wind, moody weather changes. I live for this stuff.

hey, yeah, i know 17-23 people are dead from this thing. (or are they really? how many would have died in the affected area on that day if there was no hurricane? but that's beside the point.)
but if a hurricane is going to give illinois the beautiful weather it's had for the last 5 days, in mid-September, then BRING IT ON (and for those who think i'm being insensitive, i'm quoting "bring it on" from the idiotic phrases painted on the plywood people were putting up on their windows).
