I'm watchin' beyond belief fact or fiction, & I seen this one before so I know how it ends. This ladys gettin' some cheap ol' gravestone for her husband. I mean, he done DIED & she wanna pinch every penny.

Maybe she didn't have much money to spend. Or maybe he specifically asked that she not spend much on him?

I remember my grandfather (a total tightass when it came to money, even though he had PLENTY of it) specified he wanted the cheapest coffin there was. He didn't see the point of spending money on something like that when, technically, he wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

have you ever noticed that the ones that are really tight with their money...are usually the ones with tons of it ???

im talking about rich folks...they are some tight assed motherfuckers...seems like they cant even enjoy the money...like they're afraid to spend or something ...

With my grandfather, a big part of his attitude came from growing up during the Depression when he witnessed some pretty amazing poverty and people losing their money. He had to eat moldy, rotten food sometimes when he was a kid, for example. That sort of thing can obviously create lifelong money issues. .
