Best way to protect DVDs whilst traveling?

I think the title of this thread is pretty self-explanatory. I'm taking along about 15 DVDs with me to London and have no idea how to pack them without scratching or damaging them. I can't take the cases because of space - likewise, I can't put them in CD jewel cases for the same reason. I have a CD carrying case but I've learned from experience that they're not that great - my CDs have always gotten scratched from them.

Any tips?

They'll be fine in a CD case, really. It's only whilst you are travelling...

Alternatively you could put them all together on a single spindle and wrap that up in a blanket or a sweater and pack it tight so it doesn't bounce around. Anyway if your DVDs are American you'll have to get yourself a region-free DVD player and a TV that does NTSC when you arrive in the UK smile

How about crushing them in2 a fine white powder, placing them in plastic baggies, and carefully dispositing them in various orifices? No one would ever suspect.

Anyway, even if u DID get stopped and searched - u could claim immunity by stating that u were Region-Free.
Fool proof.

I've got a new iBook that plays Region 1 DVDs just fine. That will be my main source of entertainment since Apple fucking lost my iPod and I won't have it for a while.
