How do you know that the second dentist was right in
his asessment? Maybe it was the first dentist who was
right...sounds like you may need a third opinion.

I had something similar happen to me when I was a young, single mother. The scary thing is that I had a job that allowed me to pay for it! On a whim, I just happened to get a second opinion and guess what, I found out I had no wisdom teeth to begin with! I was so freaked out that I got a third opinion and that dentist agreed with the second dentist and said that someday, no one will have wisdon teeth. We will evolve since we have no use for them!

Yes you are angry, who wouldnt be, but what a blessing in disguise that you did go for a second opinion only to be told some really good news and your teeth are fine!

I had a new dentist who I saw when I studied at Art College...he jabbed my tongue with the needle, did some unnecessary work which I was really upset about, and I later found out that he was sent to jail for selling drugs through his practice, that put me off going to the dentist in such a long time. Now I go to a lovely dentist, who is so kind and caring and has MY best interests at heart abd he is there to give people a beautiful smile without taking advantage of them...even if I moved hundreds of miles away I would still go back to Peter, cos he has got my trust back in dentists, even though I dreaded going and hated dentists for years, this is one really top man and he has given me some confidence back in my smile and also in dentists...

thanks everyone...i understand your well wishings...and i am really happy about it...but i just wish that i could have the 3 weeks back out of my life that were spent waiting to have this done...i feel like he totally took advantage of me...but as you all have pointed out...

*there are lots of nasty doctors out there ...

*and the good news is.my teeth are just fine
