What was it?

I think my first memory is from going to the dentist's office to have my teeth cleaned--must've been about 3 or 4 yrs old, I'd guess. When I got home, I barf in the driveway cause I'd swallowed some of the fluoride they'd given me.

What's the first memory you have? biggrin

That's funny, because I can remember as a small child going to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned as well. Afterwards, I remember telling my mother that I was thirsty. We couldn't drink anything yet (because of the sensitivity), so she looked at me and said..."drink your spit"!! smile

Sleeping. . .well, waking up, I guess. . . in a basket full of warm, clean laundry at my mom's feet.

And I had an awesome childhood from there. I wish everybody had such happy first memories.

I still remember coming out of the womb and seeing all of those bright lights and doctors standing over me. I even remember bracing as he cut my imbilcal cord.

It wasn't one of those it was a more primitive hospital so they really couldn't afford a pair of cutters like that, they just used this instead!

I can vaguely remember having my diaper changed, but my first VIVID memory is of my parents hitting each other when I was three...

i remember the day when i turned 5 years old...i wore a knight rider t-shirt and i had a strawberry shortcake-themed party. the only 'guests' i had were my two nieces.

another thing i remember perfectly, as if it happened yesterday: i wuz about 4 or 5 and i wuz in day care. all of us kids were gettin sent to our lil' assigned cots...i didn't feel like takin a nap. like 5 minutes after the day care ladies left the room, i decided that i wuz gonna get outta the day care center and go home to my mom.

i got up off my cot and this little boy goes, "where you goin?" and i'm like, "i'm goin home!" he wuz like, "awwwmmm, you gonna get in trouble!!" but my ass left outta the room anyways. i wuz halfway up the hall and near the exit door when one of the day care ladies caught my ass tryin to escape outta there.

"Drink your spit!!"--that's got to go down in the book of Classic Frustrated Mom Sayings, along with "Don't make me come back there"...

My first memory was sitting in the playroom
of my old house, looking at some flashcards
with letters and pictures on them. The playroom
had a lot of white drawers on one wall and a
sliding glass door into the backyard. I was on
"K" and it had a picture of a kangaroo and so
I wanted to brag to my mom that I knew what it
was and how to say it so I yelled through the
screen door to her. She was mowing the lawn at
the time, though, and couldn't hear me. I remember
just screaming and screaming and screaming and
her not hearing me and I was so incredibly
frustrated. I have hated all vacuum cleaners
and lawn mowers since. When I got older, I
would unplug them when I wanted my mom to hear
me and she would get so angry.

lol

I moved out of that house when I was in
preschool so I must have been 4 or so at the
time. I've got a few more memories from that
house - like riding my tricycle down the block
and having a scary trailer trash man coming
out of his house and putting WD-40 on the wheels
so it wouldn't squeak anymore (it still did though).
I also remember coming home from graduating
from swim class and my mom taking us out to
McDonalds, which was an ultra-special treat.
I wanted to save my fries and thought they
would keep so a few hours later I went back to
them and they were disgusting. I was so
disappointed. But those are all, though I do
have a ton of memories starting at my new house.

Arle

My memories goes wide back in to my childhood. There are many memories.
The strongest (a one of them) I keep saved, is the 1. and only time I did fly, for real. I went appx. 4 years young.

And 1 or 2 from the few times, I saw my parents, visited me.

By the way a question:

So sweet!

Don't you also are the mean, newborn babies, has much more wisdom in theyr expression, as the age they have for real? -
It's amazing!
