Oh Andrea, how inhuman that does seem. sad I hear of this often in the hospital, people telling me that doctor's give them a grim prognosis. For some medical situations... prolonging life may not be a decision, certain cancers (such as liver cancer) are known to be aggressive/fatale, although that does not give reason for physicians/specialist to brush off a life.

You seem to be a wonderful friend/soul... while some issues may have to be faced, it is a blessing to not face them alone. hug rose

My friend has found a doctor at UofM that will treat her liver cancer...he is going against all of his collegues advice to do surgery on her.
She will have a CAT scan in the next few weeks and then in December she will have 1/2 of her liver taken out and the tumors on the other half will be burned out.
There is a 20 percent chance that the cancer will not come back.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you... to all of you...it's been very hard to see them both going through these things.
My friend whose soulmate was killed is just on an emotional rollercoaster...in shock...sad...comforted by her memories...then torn apart by her loss...it's really horrible...
And my other friend is just taking everything in stride...her strength and determination to continue on with life are really humbling...awe-inspiring, really.

I'm blessed to have such people in my life...and that includes all of you too biggrin
