WHY CANT A MAN ACCEPT A WOMAN AS SHE IS Today I was watching Maury and he was talking to guests "men" who were not pleased with the way their wife or partner looked, they were saying that they let theirselves go after they had babies and so on, if you really love someone it shouldn't matter to you if they gained a few pounds or dont dress as sexy as they use to. What matters most is how that person treats you.

I was talking about this exact topic with a friend today...and you are right, girl. All that matters is a) that you love yourself and b) that you are loved in return Those people on that show are not men...they still have a lot of growing up to do.

So funny. As soon as I read the subject line I thought "This is Paisley"
What is with all the man-hating? First the thing about men cheating, then the thing about men not having to be pregnant, then that whole weight loss thing, and now this? How do you think it makes us men feel? "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. Because some women allow it.

Ok, well once again, this would've been clear to me if you had said something like: "Why can't this guy on Maury accept this girl?" or "Why can't some men accept women?" or even better "Why can't people be accepted for who they are?" Problem solved. I am sorry to be picky about this, but I just really really hate sweeping generalizations about my gender. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. the problem, paisley, is that you were watching maury. but of course real love is never based upon the persons physical aspects. we are all gonna get old, we all could at any time be in an accident that causes physical deformity. its best to make sure we all work on the inside and in addition to that pick partners who reflect our souls. zesty!!!

Beautiful sentiment, which I do agree with. But, there is just one problem: For me, I could never love someone who was strictly beautiful, but didn't have a great personality. Nevertheless, their physical appearance is what draws me to them in the first place. It's hard, but we do have to become slaves to the world of beauty if we expect others to ever try and find out how great we are on the inside. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Stop with these damned man-bashing threads

I think that a man is more likely to accept a woman the way she is than the flip side.

Teacher said: Stop with these damned man-bashing threads
I'm with Teacher here. To be honest, the topic could be much more effective if the question/statement was not so slanted. Most of the man hating threads are actually not even gender specific. Lots of women AND men do the things of which you speak.

Most of the time a woman can't accept herself as she is
thereby makin the man as miserable as she can with her constant flipflopishness (i know yall like that word... yet another 'BAD WORD') I AM King BAD a.k.a. BAD,
YOU EITHER WANNA BE ME, OR BE JUST LIKE ME ™

Well, allow me to spit some truth.
I assume that "as she is" means that she hasn't changed. So if you're a big girl when the guy meets you, then it should be all good unless you really pork out. I look at it like this. I respect myself and my body, and i don't put just anything in my body. I'm a vegetarian, i don't drink soda, i don't smoke, etc. I work out semi-regularly (it's not the bane of my existence). If i fall in love with a person, it's true that you are falling in love with the person not the package, but the package does reflect the person. I'm not into super-model types, and i don't expect the woman i'm with to be perfect, because i'm not perfect. But if the woman i love, decides to pack on let's say 60 extra pounds, yeah there's a problem. First of all it tells me that you're too comfortable, and you should NEVER be that comfortable in a relationship. Why is it that women think that once they "settle down" that all of a sudden it's okay to pork out? And if they end up single, then it's time to go to the gym? What does that say to the person that you're with? You don't care what you look like for him? That's bull. SO enough with all the man-hater crap. Gaining 10 pounds is nothing. Gaining 60 pounds is a deal breaker. And just to be fair, i won't gain 60 pounds either. Aight? http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts
y'all gone keep messin' around wit me and turn me back to the old me......
